Resources For Doctors.

We are Coastal Sedation Specialists, formerly known as Ambulatory Dental Anesthesia Associates. Our company was founded by the esteemed Dr. William MacDonnell and Dr Chet Sokolowski. Both doctors were pioneers in bringing sedation and general anesthesia for dentists to the state of Connecticut. We continue on their legacy by partnering with dental professionals seeking to provide the best possible care to their patients.

Convenient.

We are able to bring full-service sedation and general anesthesia directly into your office. This allows providers the opportunity to provide complex and challenging cases in a familiar environment for patients and staff. With the addition of sedation, anxiety is reduced, and cooperation is increased. Appointments are readily available compared to surgical centers and hospitals. It also allows for more treatment to be completed in a single appointment, avoiding multiple trips to the dentist.

Whether you're a General Dentist, Pediatric Dentist, Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, Prosthodontist, Endodontist, or Orthodontist, we've got you covered

We are proud to offer a wide array of hospital-grade sedation dentistry services right in the comfort of your own office. Our aim is to make every dental visit an anxiety-free, comfortable and even enjoyable experience for your patients.

Increased Scope of Practice.

By partnering together, we are able to expand the treatments you are able to provide to your patients. We are able to help you balance challenging patients with advanced behavioral or medical concerns. We can help you transform and grow your practice to serve more needs.

Hospitality.

We strive to treat every one of your patients like they are your family. We treat them with the expectation that they would tell their friends and family about the great experience they had in your office. In the words of Fairfield, CT periodontitis Dr Michael Sonick, DMD, “Caring for my patients- and caring about their experience- begins with a willingness to walk in their shoes… and is not about wearing a white coat to signal one’s authority, but about hospitality.

Safety & Monitoring

We follow all ASA guidelines to ensure the best quality of care and safety. Monitoring equipment is utilized for every procedure and includes Pulse Oximetry, EKG Monitors, Blood Pressure, Respiratory Rate, End-Tidal CO2, Temperature and Gas Analysis..

Equipment.

We bring the anesthesia to you. We are able to transport all of our necessary equipment to your office on the day of surgery. We take full control and responsibility for all medications, equipment, and supplies needed for the anesthesia.

Connecticut State Inspections.

Under current Connecticut State Department of Public Health guidelines, all offices that utilize sedation and anesthesia must have permits from the state. We have participated in hundreds of these inspections, and are experts in navigating the system to get your office up and running expeditiously.

The Advantages of Mobile Anesthesia

Opting for mobile anesthesia ensures that you have access to an experienced anesthesiologist skilled in thousands of nasal intubations. This tailored approach is designed to enhance your ability to provide effective and efficient patient care. Anesthesia serves as a valuable tool in creating a comfortable dental experience for children, helping to prevent the development of dental phobias that can worsen oral health issues as they grow into adulthood.

Our Credentials and Training

Our expertise extends to performing nasal intubations and participating in various types of dental surgical procedures. Having trained as dentists ourselves, we possess an understanding of the challenges inherent in dental surgery. This knowledge enables us to customize anesthesia approaches to align with the requirements of dental surgeons. Our service offerings have been crafted with dental surgeons in mind, aiming to streamline and optimize the surgical process for their convenience and efficiency.

Our Equipment and Technology

Our mobile anesthesia services are equipped with technology that supports a range of anesthesia techniques. This innovation allows us to secure the airway effectively before the dental surgeon initiates the procedure.

This collaborative synergy ensures a smoother and more streamlined surgical experience..
